As a nurse who is a unit manager for the first time, this guide has been an invaluable resource to getting started in my new position. The book is broken down into easy to understand categories and clearly and simply explains the many aspects of nursing management. Overall, this book is a must-have for a first time nurse manager. I'd also recommend a book called "The Nurse Managers Answer Book" as a more in-depth, research-based supplement. These two books will make your life easier and less stressful as you transition into your role as a new nurse manager.
It's a great book for anyone that is trying to get into the nurse management field. The book gives you an overview on what you are supposed to know so you can be successful in the future. I only bought this book for a penny so it's worth every cent!
