The features and design are well stated in this book. I learn here how to play audiobooks via phone. With the Echo Spot, I can instruct Alexa on what to add onto my shopping list and it will be added. I can make a command to Alexa to create to do list for me. Quick start guide, Power cable, Echo spot device and card listing are included with the Amazon Echo Spot. Well done author!

For the price, this is an excellent learning tool. What better way to teach your child multiplication than through a fun and challenging game. Absolutely brilliant! I purchased this item for my twin boys (aged six). The twins are quite familiar with the game of War, so they caught on to the rules of this game right away. They LOVED playing against each other. My younger kids (aged 3 and 5) even joined in. Soon I had all four kids learning their multiplication tables. Its even fun for adults!The quality of the cards is quite nice - Medium cardstock. Might not be a bad idea to laminate them, especially the card with the answers. Multiplication problems are printed on one side. The other side has a fishy background. The cards are also sized a bit larger than your average playing cards. I thought this was the perfect size for children to hold.The only downside I could think of is that the multiplication problems seems to only go up to 9. Other than that, it is a really fun game that will teach your kid(s) multiplication.

Can multiplication really be fun for kids? Of course it can. If you don't believe this, or even if you do, you should do your children a favor and spend two dollars on these cards.In the span of only a couple hours kids can learn the multiplication basics while having a little competitive fun at the same time. I took off one star because the multiplication only went up to 9 x 9, whereas the multiplication tables in schools go to 12 x 12. This is otherwise a very small complaint on a great product at an amazing price.A quick word about the cards: they are the thickness of a traditional playing card, have approximately the same width, and are probably an inch or so longer. I mention this only because I did not see it in a product description or review.If you have found this review helpful, please leave feedback or a comment. These are good quality. My daughter loves playing this game. I like school zone products. The only reason I give it 4 stars, instead of 5 - they did not include some of the 9's. I know that this makes for repeats, however, that is the whole point of the game - to have war! Since several 9's are omitted, we do not have war very often, and I would like the 9's cards for the learning of the 9's. But, again, my daughter loves playing it. If I were to buy again, I would go with Flash Kids, Flash Cards. I have their division war game and it includes all the numbers - we get to war often:)

This is a GREAT twist on flash cards. The amount of games you can play is only limited to the imagination and you are part of the fun with your child.One game we play is whoever answers it first gets to keep the card but adults have to look away for 1/2 a second.We also play kid versus grandparents over video messaging. Due to the lag in the video, the grandparents generally get crushed but are good sports about it.The box has lots of great games as well.Fun with a purpose!

I use these cards to engage elementary school children (after school tutoring) in learning multiplication. I modified the game of war by allowing the child to "win" up to 2 cards per each play. The child 1st earns a card if he or she can determine the answers on my card and their card (I tell them to analyze the cards) and then if they have the winning card they get the 2nd card. If I have the highest card and they correctly determine the answers on each card, then I get a card and they get a card. If the child has a losing card and does not get the answers right on both cards, then I both cards. I put the cards aside that they missed and quiz them on it at the end of the game. The person with the most cards win (yes, it does favor the child :-)If the kid is pretty good with their tables, then add speed to it (e.g. they have to blurt out the answers to both cards in 5 seconds). I will be doing a challenge tournament soon with the children.Also, great price on the cards. I saw other flash cards going for over $20 on Amazon.

I don't recommend. Muliplication flash cards really need to be 0 -12 tables. And the answers need to be directly on the reverse side for easy quizzing. We ended up purchasing another brand with all tables and two adjustable rings to reshuffle and keep together for travel.

How many cards did you end up with? I got 21! Well, I got 23! Awwwww, let me play again please!!!So goes my conversations with my 3rd graders when we play multiplication wars. Everyone wants to beat the other players, we usually play four at a time, and then they keep track of how many cards they each get. We play each week and the goal is to be able to go through the deck the quickest, some do very well, better each week. Lots of learning, lots of fun.

I bought this as a fun activity to provide a break between assignments. My student was so excited he was remembering facts he hadn't before and was even doing celebration dances when he won a hand.Update: We meet once a week and after a month, he now knows the majority of his multiplication tables and rarely asks for assistance with them now. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Gerald Corey is Professor Emeritus of Human Services and Counseling at California State University at Fullerton. He received his doctorate in counseling from the University of Southern California. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 17, Counseling Psychology; and Division 49, Group Psychotherapy); a Fellow of the American Counseling Association; and a Fellow of the Association for Specialists in Group Work. Both Jerry and Marianne Corey received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Mental Health Counselors Association in 2011, and both also received the Eminent Career Award from ASGW in 2001. Dr. Jerry Corey was given the Outstanding Professor of the Year Award from California State University at Fullerton in 1991. He regularly teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in group counseling and ethics in counseling. He is the author or coauthor of 15 textbooks in counseling currently in print, along with more than 60 journal articles and book chapters.

I ordered this book for the Theories and Methods of Counseling course last semester. I was of course dreading the intense reading load that my Professor had in store for us, but I was surprised at how concise and organized this text is. Every chapter is broken down in relatively the same manner, and I loved how it broke down each major theory (such as humanistic, behavioral, psychoanalytic, etc.) into sub-divisions and founders/co-founders. As embarrassing as it is to admit that up until last semester, I kind of BS-ed knowing theories and the people involved with those theories, this text really helped me remember who did what, who founded what, who contributed to this and that. I would definitely recommend this text to anyone who needs a more structured, laid out format when it comes to this kind of material.The book did NOT come with the CD, but I believe on one of the first pages there is a website to go to that has the information to view the CD online. Luckily my professor let it slide when he realized 99% of the class did not get the CD.

Great price - no problems with the book. The only difference between this and my classmates books was mine was in black and white, the color was green instead of that pink-ish color and it was paperback ---- oh - and like 80 bucks cheaper!

I feel that the description noted is misleading.There is information given about the DVD "The Case Of Stan" and I feel that the purchaser of the book is lead to believe that the DVD is included with the book. I feel that the descripion SHOULD CLEARLY STATE DVD IS NOT INCLUDED WITH BOOK, however is available as an ADDITIONAL PURCHASE.I spent close to $60.00 to buy a new book so that I would be assurred to receive the DVD with it. This was a waste of money, because know I know that the DVD is not included and I could have purchased a used book for less than half the price. :(I am suprised that Amazon has not corrected this. This is a problem because as several other reviewers have said that they also thought that the DVD was included as well. BE AWARE THE DVD DOES NOT COME WITH THE BOOK!!!!!

I actually am enjoying this book. The case study of Stan has been so helpful to follow along and see various techniques used. I did find it distracting and irritating for the author to constantly suggest skipping around and reading later chapter's before earlier ones. Seems they should have simply organized it in a way that didnt require skipping around.

i'm studying for a master's in counseling degree. i won't keep all my books, but i will hold on to this one. if you simply MUST have the "case of stan" DVD, then i'm afraid you'll have to look for that package specifically, and purchase it new. my professor stressed we needed to buy dvd. however, you can find a good portion of the stan role plays on youtube. (btw, the new one with dvd is about $195). i didn't want to pay that much, so went with this one. and it has done the job just fine. in the book, at the end of the chapters, there is even a discussion of dr. corey's sessions with stan (a recap of what was on the dvd). i have had no problem. only two weeks remain in the course and i have a high "a" average.

I still have this particular textbook from my program because this one was by far the most helpful. It's broken down into several chapters that are concise, helpful and easy to read. The examples are AMAZING, and in the back of the book, it has a great summary of each theory, that I think really helped me ace my tests.

This book is great. It arrived fast and it is written in a way that it is easy to stay focused and engaged in. The way the author organized this book is brilliant, all in order of 11 different types of theories. I highly recommend this book.

As usual, Cengage have overpriced their mediocre books. To make it worse, as someone has already mentioned, the Kindle editions comes with neither a product key or access code so watching the recommended videos is not possible. In my case, I had no choice but to buy the Kindle edition. I live in the Middle East in a country that is very restrictive of the materials it allows in. Psychology and religion are two of the most banned materials. Rather than take a chance by ordering the print edition hoping it would get past the censors, it's easier to buy the electronic edition which can be downloaded over a VPN connection. Having access to the video and other materials available with the product code and/or access key might have made this experience better.
